Timeline of Events:
- Clach Baile (Population: 100) was an ancient and prosperous town in the region of Khuarth. One day, the Red Raiders faction (Population: 600) besieged Clach Baile. Clach Baile was sacked and destroyed. Its surviving citizens (35 people) fled in all directions during the siege. Several refugees (14 people) fled to other regions; whereas the remaining refugees (21 people) stayed in Khuarth.
Population of Red Raiders in Khuarth: 528 people
- The Rugkegran family fled up the nearby mountain, against a raging river that streams down from the hills.
- The Rugkegran family founded their settlement in a secluded valley in the mountains. The secluded valley had two huge rock formations with a field of golden flowers at its feet. The head of the Rugkegran family had a dream that these two rock formations and golden flowers represented The Deity.
- Some months later, the Todrah brothers (Tuvrek & Tarok) stumbled upon the Rugkegran settlement, as they escaped Clach Baile and journeyed through the mountains. The head of the Rugkegran family knew the Todrah brothers since they were young, and happily agreed to have them join the settlement.
- Some months later, Lardok Nian, a former warrior in Clach Baile, and his son arrived in Rugkegran. The head of Rugkegran does not know Lardok very well. However, the Todrah brothers were close to Lardok and vouched for him. The head of Rugkegran allowed Lardok and his son to settle in Rugkegran.
- An emissary from the Esil cave settlement requested the head of Rugkegran to take in the Ardib clan (a big sized old man, his adult son and his grand daughter), as immigrants. The Esil cave settlement is currently experiencing a famine, and the Ardib clan had past mishaps - i.e., old man's wife was killed by a lion, and his son's wife died when giving birth to their grand daughter). The Ardib clan was the weakest in the Esil cave settlement.
- Last male of the Ardib clan died.
- Last male of the Todrah clan died.
- Refugees from the northwest forest arrived in Rugkegran (a woman from the Gustau clan, her two daughters and her elderly mother). They reported that small groups of the Red Raiders are terrorising the lowlands. All the males of the Gustau clan died during the raids.
- Korignak Nian laid with Ihmza Ardib during one of her stressful moments. As a result, Vyrka Nian was born as a bastard and has a claim to the chiefdom.
- Last male of the Nian clan died.
- Wow! The women of Rugkegran are building the palisades!
- Tribal marriage: Markal Rou joins the tribe. Rou was an average clan in the Esil cave settlement.
- Bought a slave girl from a wandering merchant: Ahri (no clan name) joins the tribe.
- The Two-Rock monument was constructed for the deity under the leadership of Chief Gorac Rugkegran.
Some memorable characters:
1. Ihamza Ardib. Her mother died while giving birth to her. Some years before she was born, her grandmother was killed by a lion. Thus, she was raised by her grandfather and her father. During her adolescent years, her father was killed by a wolf. She lived with her grandfather until he eventually died of old age. She was married to Marshak Rugkegran, who eventually became the Clan Chieftain. When Marshak died, their son, Gorac Rugkegran was too young to be Clan Chieftain. Thus, she acted as regent for him until he became of age. Due to her life experiences, she became a great warrior. During her rule, she inspired the women in the tribe, and they started building the palisade, which was one of the major projects of the tribe.
Ending
The enclosed mountain valley where the Rugkegran dynasty settled, was good. The wildlife, fruits and crops were sufficient for the Rugkegran dynasty. The Rugkegran dynasty successfully established a defensible settlement in the valley, and built a monument to honour their deity.
However, the other starting dynasties died out. Only the Rugkegran dynasty remained. Besides, the resources in this area is insufficient to support a population of a village. It means that they are unlikely to expand and take more land. Rugkegran would remain as a dynasty estate.
